Aaron Laughlin Not something that I could really answer. All I can say is that I find value in it.

Aaron Laughlin I would hesitate to call myself a good welder. More like functional and somewhat competent. I just suggested checking the gas flow, as just the other day I forgot to turn the gas back on, lit up the torch, and experienced the same thing, and fried the diffuser in a Furick Jazzy 10 in the process! From what I've seen, all of the coaches/instructors on here bring a lot to the table, and from a really divers background. Maybe just browse the videos, and see whose specialty most closely aligns with what you want out of welding. Though I like watching them all, as you can learn things from people who work on stuff you may never even see. Always something to learn.

Aaron Laughlin That almost sounds like the shielding gas was shut off, or had insufficient flow? I don't find this site to be much as far as a traditional forum. I mainly subscribe for the instructional video content, that may not be available on YouTube. And the instructors are pretty good about answering specific questions.

I'll stick with my usual as well. I've not seen any reviews on them that weren't from Arc-Zone. And no info at all on what sort of magic dust they're made from.

Edit, I guess it's not new, as I just saw a YouTube video about it from 15 years ago. Never heard of it, and got an email from Arc-Zone about it today, so I assumed it something new.

Have any of you guys tried the latest miracle tungsten from Arc-Zone? https://arc-zone.com/arctime-hybrid-tungsten-a-ewg-3?utm_source=Klaviyo&utm_medium=campaign&_kx=QWXqW_gFuz1wtJ2U8Snwf4q8I7UjWsXFTMFJNpul7SI.QZDYtd

At $75 for a 10-pack, it better be damn good!

Nice find, that truck is in great shape. Wise move painting the frame. Try to keep the PennDOT cancer at bay for as long as possible!😀

Repaired the tongue for a hunting guides ATV/UTV trailer. It had a custom made swivel built into the hitch end, so the trailer and ATV can roll without stressing the hitch. It sees pretty hard use, and was just worn out. Mainly due to him not being able to periodically tighten the 7/8"-9 nylok nut to keep the play at a minimum. So, when I made the new one, I drilled/tapped a 1/4"-20 hole on the sides so set bolts could be screwed in to trap the nut. Then the whole assembly becomes the wrench to tighten the nut. When they're backed out it's free to swivel again. He also wanted a duplicate solid version made to keep on hand for an emergency spare. The camp is a good hours bush flight away( no road access ), so failures are expensive out there. No McMaster-Carr deliveries there!

Serious business moving heavy stuff like that, and having people around, and under it. Look forward to seeing how the repair is done.
