Sorry to hear about your father and his health issues. He is one of the only reason I passed the welding portion of welding school. My whole hearted thanks to him.And many prayers sent his way. With that said . I pay monthly .Will it still auto renew till closure ?

It does help .I will keep that in mind when I start using filler rod.As of right now though I am just trying to run the beads with out filler .

Joey Collier I will edit my original post and add a picture .

Aaron Laughlin I was welding mild steel .I was just trying to get an idea on whether my TIG bead was a decent width . So I could proceed to padding beads .Right now it’s just without filler.

There is a wealth of information for sure. But you are right I do have questions that have been unanswered. I haven’t been able to find the info elsewhere. So I stick around in hopes somebody will finally answer

Decided to teach myself TIG. I have found loads of info on various sites including Welding Tips and Tricks. What I have not found is,What does a proper weld look like? For example how wide is an ideal bead ? With and without filler.Aluminum and steel.

Question for the instructor crew. How wide should a tig bead on steel be when not using? Trying to gauge whether or not what I am getting is appropriate . I know I need work on keeping them straight .JODY COLLIER
