Yes it is possible but can be a little tricky at first. I would say don’t get them too short when you know you’re going to join them. You might notice the puddle might act funny (jump around a little) when you are adding the welding joint into the weld. Might look into making a small fixture or something to help aid you holding the ends together.

Oh yeah you can change out the insides.

Had a BBW bite the dust today! 😔 Sadly I was hanging the torch on the torch holder and bumped the table with the edge of the cup, Pop!

Be careful setting our torches down, even on a holder, too fast or hard.

Sounds interesting. As far as filler I would say use Hast X filler so that it matches the parent material in that environment.

I would try to purge the backside of any butt joints and spots you need to weld both sides. If possible.

With welding it if it’s new material it welds nicely. You’ll notice the puddle is a bit sluggish but can take a good bit of heat.

It’s really nothing to worry about. After a few beads you’ll see how the puddle reacts. Just clean everything the best you can.

2 things that come to mind are:

I would tell them sheet stainless doesn’t have a mill scale but Plate does and it should be removed before assembling.

For the gas I would see if you can find a tri mix for mix welding stainless. I’m not sure what the mix is though. I think that would help with the flow.

Be sure to wipe down your filler before you use it! It might look clean but it’s not! Hard to get a clean weld with dirty filler.

I’ve not ran a Fronius Aluminum Mig besides a demo but I’m sure they’re nice!

Not completely back. I’ll try to post photos and be in here within the community to answer questions and maybe some short 1 minute video clips but not making full videos.
