Matthew Chrisman I did too! I was thinking that the chunk of aluminum was too thick or something...(but you should still be able to run a bead on something thick anyways).... it is so violent and murky that I just can't see what to do. Maybe someone will see this video and be able to give me some pointers. Thanks for watching and thanks for the feedback!

Matthew Chrisman yep! Stick aluminum is a process that always gets thrown in the mix because people know it exists...... but most people have never even seen an aluminum stick. Thanks for the suggestion for the video. It helped me confirm to myself that stick aluminum isn't really an answer for anything.

It was zero fun.

I thought it would have gone better than it did but thanks for the suggestion anyways. It went a little better in the shop with more power but it is a very tricky rod to weld with.

Thanks, Greg. I had a great time with the family and I hope your Christmas was nice as well. Hope the snow is easy to move, that's alot! Thanks for watching!

I believe you would have to fill the entire container with argon...

Hahaha, Merry Christmas! Thanks for watching!

I am working on a video just talking about that 140 compared to other similar 140s as well as larger 200 Amp machines... I have quite a lot to say about welders in this range. Thanks for watching!

OK, so I bought some aluminum stick rods. I went to Amazon and looked up "Hobart aluminum stick rods" and i bought some of theirs and some foreign cheap brand the popped up in the same search. I think I have a good idea on a awning mock up that I will see how it is to fabricate with stick.
