As long as a carbide tipped blade is used and the saw has enough torque to push through definitely. Although for thicker material I would strongly advise against wood saws due to the high rpms. Specislly battery operated saws they tend to have safery features against binding which in turn causes them to shut off mid cut on metals.
Running some pulse pulse GMAW aluminum (Fronius synchropulse). If anyone here runs fronius machines at work let me know would live to share infor and learn from others!
