Most of my stainless mig experience is on 304 & 316.
Getting the toes to wet in is a challenge that we ran into pretty often. 98/2 (oxygen) burns hotter than the 2% co2, but the welds will not look as nice. (That gas is for spray or pulse spray). Are you short circuiting or spraying?
