Posting this for the benefit of others: CK24 torch uses Series 8 or Cut-Down or OZMO consumables

Copy that! Thanks for the info. Definitely didn’t see on CK website that had a line other than the CUT-DOWN kit and OZMO kit…really appreciate that lead! Thx, DZ

Johannes Ciobanica I think I got an answer to my question.  After doing more research on the CK accessory kits and stopping this video it looks like you probably have a ground down (modified) #5 stubby alumina cup on the CK 24 torch (because it doesn't look like either the CK CUT-DOWN or OZMO cups).  That being said, if you have any good feedback or recommendations on cups for the CK 24 torch it would be great to hear them.  Thx!  DZ

Johannes Ciobanica are you using the OZMO or CUTDOWN cups on your CK24 torch?  Or both?  If both, which do you use most?  Thanks and Happy New Year!

Francisco Soto A #5 standard cup or a #5 stubby on a gas lens works great on Aluminum TEE joint with 3/32 tungsten. I use a #6 stubby with 1/8 tungsten.

Good luck with the gas swap.

Great video JD.  I was surprised to see you weld this job with 3/32 rod...good to know.  That 140 MP is an impressive 120VAC machine and is very capable.  Thanks for the vids showing the capabilities.  The 1/4" pipe for the job was for the pilots on the PCV (pressure control valve).  It senses upstream and downstream pressure and controls the pressure on the downstream side (low side).   Glad to see you back up making vids.

😂 deadender55...thank you Sir!

I would have picked the one with foot pedal amperage control (important for heat input control / not exceeding interpass temp), "finer" digital amperage control, and HF arc start (nice to have).  With the preheat and thickness of the material you are welding it doesn't look like high amperage was necessary.  The Miller Maxstar?.  I need one of those Lincwelder 250 DC Motor Generator welders for my shop.  Old school!  Thanks for posting these up Brad...interesting stuff!

I always pick up at least one new tip from your videos.  I like that you provide biz tips, tool tips, mechanic-ing tips, and welding tips.  Thank you Sam.
