I’m reading the Hobart Pocket Welding Guide and read up on metal cored MIG wire. Pretty interesting stuff for the right application. Fusion and penetration vs short circuit solid wire is impressive. Would be cool to see a topic on this if the staff thinks it’s worth it.

Kill it Bob! Man, I don’t know shit, but I’d suggest buying some 4” or 8” flat aluminum coupons (tee joints, lap joints, butt joints, edge welds) and weld those bad boys until you can’t get it wrong….and then move to more complex stuff. It will pay in the long run. Weld metals online has them.

Welding up my SWAG Offroad Tube Roller using my new weld positioner...it took a minute to get it....like playing the drums!
